Mrs. Caroland´s Bread
2 (9x5x3 inch) Bread Pans
1 Package Dry Yeast
2 Cups Warm Water
1/2 Cup Sugar
3 Tablespoons Shortening, melted
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 Egg, slightly beaten
6 Cups ALL-PURPOSE Flour
Mix all ingredients, one at a time, together; mix well. Let rise until double in size; beat down. Place in the 2 greased loaf pans; let rise until double. Bake for 1 hour @ 300 degrees. START IN A COOL OVEN!!! After baked, rub 1 stick of butter over loaf tops.
