Sweet Cornbread

 

1 Cup Self-Rising Flour

1 1/2 Cup Corn Meal

3/4 Cup Sugar

2 Eggs

1 1/2 Cup Milk

1/4 Cup Crisco

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In an old iron skillet, place Crisco and heat in oven.

In a Mixing Bowl, Mix first five ingredients well.

Drop a small drop of mixture into heated grease. If it bubbles, it is ready. When ready, pour batter into pan and cook until done - Approximately 40 minutes or until brown.
